Do no evil

wow google has done an about turn on its do not evil mantra. does these mantra even make sense now. There are 2 main objections I have with the google-verizon deal (or a non-deal/pact/arrangement/MOU).

1. wireless is excluded : we all know that mobile internet is the way forward. It is explictly excluded by saying that it applies to "wireline" internet. Verizon is the biggest android carrier. Google is betting heavily on android. thus google sees a huge revenue potential by creating a fragmented internet experience on the mobile users. internet is internet on every device. no differentiation. Google you are in bed with the devil

2. The wording of "public internet" didnt raised as many eyebrows as i thought. Internet is internet. there isnt an "private" internet or an non-public internet. looks like they are trying to carve one out. They reference "differentiated" services now. Looks like they will offer some kind of "paid" internet model where stuff would run faster. they want to create different class of internet, free and paid. the internet does not look "neutral" anymore. google sold itself out!
